Mustang Field is home to the Southwest Minnesota State soccer team. The field is located between Alumni Field, Mattke Field, and the new SMSU softball field and football practice fields. The Mustangs have enjoyed success at home, posting an all-time home record of 40-38-6. Their best home record came in 2000, as they were 6-3-1, which included two shutout victories.
The SMSU soccer team will join the football team at the new Regional Events Center when it opens in the fall of 2008.
