MSU, Mankato Edges SMSU 5-4
ST. PETER, MINN.: The Southwest Minnesota State tennis team lost 5-4 in a non-conference match with Minnesota State, Mankato on Friday evening in St. Peter, Minn.  The loss drops SMSU to 0-2.  MSU improves to 3-0 on the season.

Sophomore Danielle Hildebrandt had a big day for SMSU, helping the Mustangs to two points with an 8-3 win with partner freshman Cailey Grupe at No. 2 doubles along with a singles win.  Hildebrandt defeated Paige Burke of MSU 7-6 (7-1), 3-6, 10-8 at No. 3 singles.  Also winning for the Mustangs were Ananda Ferrari, 6-3, 6-0 at No. 1 singles and Ramona Lerch, 6-2, 6-2 at No. 2 singles.

The Mustangs travel to St. Paul on Saturday for match with Bethel at 10 a.m.
