Sarah Quiram recorded eight kills and led the Mustangs' defensive attack with a team-high 12 digs. The Mustangs outblocked the Sharks 15-to-8, with true freshman
Halie Wewel anchoring the SMSU defensive wall with a team leading six blocks.

Kasey Loeslie, making her first appearance since sitting out with an injury last season, had eight kills and five blocks in her return performance.
SMSU is now 1-0 and will take on host Nova Southeastern tonight at 7 p.m EST.
