MARSHALL, Minn. - The Southwest Minnesota State versus Northern State four-game NSIC series scheduled for Sunday and Monday has been canceled due to poor field conditions in Marshall. The series was orginally scheduled for Aberdeen, S.D., but was switched earlier this week.
The series could've been moved to another a location, but both schools have to agree to switch locations and no compromise was reached.
SMSU, 10-1 overall, is set to continue play on Tuesday and Wednesday with non-conference doubleheaders versus the University of Sioux Falls each day, weather pending.
The Mustangs will look to begin NSIC play next weekend hosting Minnesota State, Mankato.
