This Week in Mustang Athletics:

The Mustang Football team (3-8, 3-7 NSIC, 1-5 NSIC South) concluded their season last Saturday with a heartbreaking 53-60 loss to the Concordia Golden Bears in the Metro Dome in Minneapolis, MN. I would also like to congratulate our eight SMSU football players who were honored by the NSIC earning all conference accolades. Senior linebacker John Kersbergen, senior safety Levi Reiff, senior offensive lineman Brian Rodas, junior quarterback Tyler Peschong and sophomore punter Mike Wenk were all named second team All-NSIC South Division.  Senior linebacker Phil Breidall, sophomore tight end Cody Condon and sophomore offensive lineman Brandon Puffer were named to the honorable mention All-NSIC South Division team.

The SMSU Women’s Basketball team (0-1) will continue non-conference action on today in Minot, ND taking on the Beavers of Minot State (1-1). The opening tip is set for 6:00 pm at the MSU Dome. Good luck to all of our teams this week and Believe in Brown!

No one was able to provide the correct answer to last week’s Mustang Hoofprints Question: How many 100 point games have the SMSU Women’s Basketball team had in their 42 year history? The Mustang Women’s Basketball team has had eight 100 point games in the history of the program with four of the eight 100 point games coming during the 2008 campaign.

Hoofprints Trivia Question (please put this in a box with the title on top)

The first person to email me at MustangHoofPrints@SMSU.edu with the correct answer to this question will receive an SMSU t-shirt.
