Southwest Minnesota State University is proud of the fact that it is located in southwest Minnesota, a region where agriculture provides the foundation for the economy.
SMSU’s educational programs in agriculture, environmental science and food arts & sciences develop young people who spend their careers working to grow the economic success of the agricultural industry. In acknowledgement of these efforts, the University has been the recipient of the past two NCAA Civic Engagement Awards.

Proceeds generated by the Ag Bowl will fund scholarships and programming for worthy student-athletes and young people who will dedicate their careers to business success in agriculture, environmental science and the food industries.

2011 Ag Bowl Schedule of Events
Saturday, Sept. 10 - Regional Event Center/Parking Lot
• 12 p.m. - 2 p.m.: YMCA Punt, Pass and Kick Contest (located at SMSU football practice fields; north end of campus)
• 1:30 - 4:30 p.m.: Various events (Regional Event Center parking lot) including:
BBQ Bonanza Food Tent
Live Music – Bus Nine
Face Painting
Pony Rides
Marshall FFA – Ag Olympics
RTR FFA – Corn Shucking
Tracy FFA - Carnival Games
Party Time Inflatables - (70’ Obstacle Course), (Chaos Obstacle Course), (Bounce & Slide)
Mechanical Bull Ride – (Xtreme Bull Riding Entertainment)
Antique Tractor Display
Titan Machinery – New tractor display
• 5 p.m.: Kickoff SMSU football vs. the University of Mary
2011 Ag Bowl Raffle Tickets
•Raffle ticket are just $10 and can be purchased in the SMSU Athletics Department
•Every raffle ticket holder will receive 10 food punches at the BBQ Bonanza
Raffle Prizes:
-1st prize : 4-Wheeler (donated by Action Sports)
-2nd prize : $1,000
-3rd & 4th prize : $500 gift card from County Fair Food Store
-5th & 6th prize: Product bundle from Turkey Valley Farms
Raffle drawing will be held at halftime of the Mustang football game
