Hello Mustang Fans!
It is post-season time for our winter sports. Yesterday, the Mustang Women’s and Men’s Basketball teams competed in the first round of the Sanford/NSIC Health Basketball Tournament. SMSU Wrestling heads to Edmond, OK for the NCAA Central Region Tournament beginning on Saturday. Next week, SMSU Wheelchair Basketball will travel to Arlington, TX, for the National Wheelchair Basketball Tournament. It is an exciting time in the SMSU Department of Athletics with our winter sports staring post-season play and our spring sports in the early stages of their season.
I know it is hard to think about golf, but we have set the date for the 29th annual David and Carol Drown SMSU Golf Classic. The event will be Friday, June 20 at the Marshall Golf Club. The Golf Classic is the next Mustang Booster Club fund raising event, and the Golf Classic Committee will be convening in the next couple of weeks to begin the planning for this great event.
