Andie Mason begins her first season as an assistant coach for the SMSU women's basketball program in 2009-10.
Mason, a native of Gilbert, Ariz., recently completed a four-year career at the University of Denver, where she played in 108 career games recording 463 points, 133 rebounds, 106 assists and 60 steals. She connected on 123 career three-pointers, ranking fifth in school history, and shot 34.7 percent from three-point range to rank 11th in the DU career record book.
As a senior in 2008-09, Mason started 25 games, averaging 8.2 points and 1.3 assists per game and led the Pioneers with 65 three-pointers. Her precision shooting from behind the arc tied her for second for a single-season output at DU.
Mason earned her bachelor's degree in business marketing from DU in 2009.
Mason is pursuing her master's degree in sports management from SMSU.
