Megan Mardesen is in her second season as an assistant coach at SMSU in 2011-12. She helps in all facets of the program, including game preparation, team travel and summer camps.
Mardesen comes to SMSU after spending one season (2009-10) as a volunteer assistant coach at the University of South Dakota. Prior to USD, she served three seasons (2006-09) as a student assistant at Wayne State College.
Mardesen, a native of Elk Horn, Iowa, is a 2009 graduate of Wayne State with a degree in psychology and a minor in coaching and sport management. She is pursuing her master's degree from SMSU in sport leadership.
