Wisconsin-Whitewater Takes Two From Mustangs

MARSHALL, Minn. - Defending national champion Wisconsin Whitewater took a pair of games from Southwest Minnesota State in the Mustangs' season opener, picking up 72-46 and 71-40 wins on Friday night in Marshall, Minn.

UWW improves to 2-0, while SMSU drops to 0-2.

SMSU was led by Nathan Carruth in both games as the senior had 16 and 15 points, respectively.

Academic All-District Teams

MARSHALL, Minn. - The College Sports Information Directors of American announced today that Southwest Minnesota State senior setter Sara Graf has been named to the ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District V College Division first team.

The College Division District V team consists of student-athletes from NCAA Division II, Division III and NAIA schools from the states of Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois and Indiana and was voted upon by sports information directors in the district.
