SMSU Falls One Spot in National Poll

LEXINGTON, Ky. - The Southwest Minnesota State volleyball team fell one spot and is ranked No. 16 in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association Division II Top 25 Poll released Monday. The Mustangs received 302 points in the poll, as voted on by Division II head coaches across the country.

NSIC neighbor Concordia University, St. Paul received all 32 first-place votes and a total of 800 points to top the national poll. Five NSIC teams made the top 25.

SMSU went 1-1 this past weekend in conference play, defeating Augustana and falling to No. 18 Wayne State.

The Mustangs (19-7, 9-5 NSIC) host No. 11 Minnesota Duluth and Bemidji State this weekend.
