SMSU Stays at No. 13 in National Poll

LEXINGTON, Ky. - The Southwest Minnesota State volleyball team stayed at No. 13 in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association Division II Top 25 Poll released Monday. The Mustangs received 415 points in the poll, as voted on by Division II head coaches across the country.  This is the second straight week SMSU has been ranked No. 13.

NSIC neighbor Concordia University, St. Paul received all 32 first-place votes and a total of 800 points to top the national poll. Five NSIC teams made the top 25.

SMSU went 3-0 last week to close regular-season play.

The Mustangs (25-7, 15-5 NSIC) have been seeded No. 2 for the Central Region Tournament and will play No. 7 seed Metro State (Colo.) on Thursday at 12 p.m. in St. Paul, Minn.
