Field Headlines 11 Mustang Placers at Dragon Open

MOORHEAD, Minn.
- Southwest Minnesota State's Casey Field captured the title at 157 pounds in the White Division and was one of 11 Mustang wrestlers to place at the Dragon Open Saturday hosted by Minnesota State Moorhead.

Field went 4-0 on the day and defeated North Dakota State's Jordan Engen in the championship match 6-4.

Micah Larson was a runner-up finisher at 184 pounds in the White Division after posting a 2-1 record.

Four Mustangs wrestled their way to third-place finishes. #C.D. Johnson#'s 4-1 campaign notched the junior third-place accolades at 184 pounds in the Red Division, while Saifemichael Kenea brought home identical honors at 125 pounds in the White Division.  Justin Reinsma and Travis Frederiksen, both wrestling in the White Division, also grabbed third-place accolades at 141 and 165 pounds, respectively.

Carter Ash was a fifth-place finisher at 285 pounds in the Red Division.  The sophomore posted a 2-2 record.

#A.J. Jenniges and William Fate#, both competing in the Red Division, locked down sixth-place finishes at 133 and 174 pounds, respectively .  #Kyle Anderson and Aaron Hyde# also charted sixth-place honors at 141 and 174 pounds to round out the Mustang place winners

SMSU (1-0, 0-0 NSIC) will host Sioux Falls (S.D.) on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in dual action.
