ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference announced today that the Southwest Minnesota State women's tennis team will have the No. 7 seed for the upcoming NSIC women's tennis championship on April 25 and 26 at the Baseline Tennis Center in Minneapolis, Minn. The Mustangs will play No. 2 seed Upper Iowa on Saturday, April 25 at 10:30 a.m.
The top eight teams in the final NSIC standings made the tournament. The tournament is a dual format with three doubles and six singles matches. A full eight-team draw will be played out to completion. When a team has clinched a dual match victory, remaining matches will be pulled.
SMSU (6-12, 5-6 NSIC) still has one regular season match remaining as the Mustangs will play a non-conference contest with Sioux Falls (S.D.) on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
