GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - The Southwest Minnesota State baseball team had its official practice day at the 2009 NCAA Central Region Tournament in Grand Junction, Colo., hosted by Mesa State College.

SMSU had batting practice at MSC's practice facility on campus, before moving over to Suplizio Field for another 30 minutes of practice.  Suplizio Field is a 10,000 seat stadium that is the home of Mesa State baseball and the host field for the Junior College World Series that starts next weekend.

SMSU, the No. 5 seed, will take on No. 2 Minnesota State, Mankato on Thursday, May 14, at 3:30 p.m. MDT.  Fans can keep up with all the games with live statistics by clicking here for the official tournament Web site.
