MARSHALL, Minn. - Southwest Minnesota State head wheelchair basketball coach Paul Weiland will be one of the featured instructors at a camp ran by former Mustang player Ryan Martin. The Ryan Martin Wheelchair Basketball Clinic is scheduled for July 20-23 at Nomad's Adventure Quest in South Windsor, Conn.
Martin currently plays professionally in Madrid, Spain. He is the school's all-time assists leader and a 1,000-point scorer.
Weiland enters his third year with the SMSU wheelchair basketball program. He has served as co-head coach the past two season and will be the head coach in 2009-10.
"I'm very the excited the opportunity to travel out and work this clinic," said Weiland. "It's a great opportunity to spread the message of wheelchair athletics.
The event is free of charge, thanks to donations from the clinic's sponsors.
