Final Results
LAKE ELMO, Minn. - Southwest Minnesota State shot a final round 332 to finish with a two-round score of 663 to finish in seventh place at the 13-team Concordia University Invite at Tartan Park Golf Course in Lake Elmo, Minn. SMSU entered today's final round in fifth place after a finishing with a 331 on Sunday.
Winona State won the tournament with a score of 639, one shot better than Nebraska-Omaha.
Senior Melissa Lackas continued her strong start to the season for SMSU finishing with back-to-back rounds of 7-over-par 79s to finish in sixth place at 158, six shots behind medalist Michelle Narveson from Winona State. Sophomore KC Kane carded an 11-over-par 83 on Monday to finish in a tie for 14th place with a 163.
Junior Sarah Baukol shot a solid 9-over 80 on Monday and finished tied for 32nd with a two-day total of 170. Freshman Krista Weiszhaar finished the tournament tied for 43rd with a score of 176, while junior Stephanie Bruns finished tied for 45th with a 177. Freshman Haley Gudim played as an individual and finished 65th with a score of 191.
SMSU will continue action this weekend hosting the 12th annual Mustang Invite at the Marshall Golf Club. The 16-team invite will begin with first round action on Saturday, Sept. 26 and will conclude with the final round on Sunday, Sept. 27.
