BROOKINGS, S.D. - The Southwest Minnesota State University indoor track & field teams competed at the South Dakota State Invite on Friday.
Leading the SMSU women's team was
Kim Shabino, who had a strong race in the 200-meter earning a 27th place finish out of 137 runners with a time of 26:03.
On the men's side,
Chris Kveseth placed eighth in the 600-meter crossing the finish line at 1:22.33, while
Austin LaFollette earned a 13th place finish with a time of 1:23.05. The 600-meter race featured 47 runners.
Day two of the SDSU Invite continues on Saturday starting at 10 a.m.
