MANKATO, Minn. – Southwest Minnesota State University's Rylee Armstrong finished in 12th place at the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Pentathlon Indoor Championship held at Minnesota State University on Sunday.

Armstrong finished the competition with a total of 2,996 points in the five events. Bree Woebler from Augustana College won the championship with 3,892 points.

Armstrong started the day setting a personal best in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.86 to earn 738 points. She then earned 712 points in the high jump with a mark of 1.58m, before tossing 9.59m in the shot put to record 503 points.

In her fourth event, Armstrong recorded a mark of 5.04m in the long jump to earn 570 points, before closing the day with a personal best time of 2:49.13 in the 800-meters to 473 points.

The NSIC indoor championships will conclude on Feb. 26-27 in Mankato.
