MARSHALL, Minn. - The fourth annual Ag Bowl Scholarship Invitational set for Friday, Feb. 19, 2016, on the campus of Southwest Minnesota State.

The Ag Bowl Scholarship Invite is a competition for FFA members to participate in a choice of 15 Career Development Events. Students have the opportunity to compete individually and as a team. In today's society there are several opportunities for careers in the agriculture industry.

Ralco Nutrition along with many other great sponsors are hoping to bring more awareness to high school students through this invitational, while giving them the opportunity to challenge themselves in several different CDE's.

The day will start with registration in the R/A Facility on the campus of SMSU at 7:30 a.m. There will be a short introduction and then the competitions will begin. Throughout the day students will be able to speak with representatives from the different sponsors while they are not competing, these sponsors include: Ralco Nutrition, Channel, Syngenta, Titan Machinery, CHS, Minnesota Soybean Research & Promotion Council, Midwest Ag, ADM, & Minnesota Corn Growers Association.

In the competition there will be several scholarship dollars rewarded to winners, along with money for chapters earning the most cumulative points. Agriculture Communications, Sales, and Farm Business Management are all CDE's that will have larger award amounts.

Individual CDE's will each have a 1st place prize of $1,000 scholarship dollars to SMSU including a medal and a 2nd place prize of $500 scholarship dollars to SMSU:

The remaining CDE's will have a 1st place prize of $500 scholarship dollars to SMSU and a 2nd place prize of $ 250 scholarship dollars.

The highest chapter will receive $1,000 (cash).
