SMSU Opens 2009-10 Season Hosting Dordt on Tuesday

THIS WEEK: The No. 22-ranked Southwest Minnesota State men’s basketball team (0-0, 0-0 NSIC) begins the 2009-10 season and its 43rd season of intercollegiate basketball on Tuesday, Nov. 17, hosting NAIA Division II opponent Dordt College from Sioux Center, Iowa. Tip-off is slated for 7 p.m. at the R/A Facility in Marshall. Following Tuesday night’s game, the Mustangs will host the SMSU Classic Presented by State Farm Insurance on Friday, Nov. 20 and Saturday, Nov. 21. SMSU will face NCAA II Lewis University (Ill.) on Friday night starting at 8 p.m., before taking on NAIA II Bellevue University (Neb.) on Saturday night at 8 p.m.
