Alumni Field / Legion Field

The Southwest Minnesota State baseball complex on the north end of campus is the practice home for SMSU baseball.

Starting with the 2019 season, SMSU has played all of its home games at picturesque Legion Field in Marshall

Over the years, Alumni Field has seen numerous changes and continues to make changes every season. Two hitting cages have been added, as well as new sod in the infield, an irrigation system, new backstop, new scoreboard, grandstand and a hitter's eye in center field.

SMSU is 105-88 at Alumni Field since head coach Paul Blanchard took over in 1997. SMSU started playing all of its home games at on-campus ballpark in 2003 and is 93-86 since that time. SMSU has played four games (going 2-2) at Legion Field in Marshall since 2003, playing two each in 2009 and 2010.
