The Southwest Minnesota State University Athletics program prides itself in competing at the highest level of NCAA Division II, while being committed to NCAA rules and regulations. As a proud member of the NCAA, everyone at SMSU is responsible to ensure that the rules of the NCAA and NSIC are upheld at all times. We are dedicated to enforcing adherence to the rules and regulations of the NCAA and the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference by our student-athletes, coaches, administrators and supporters.Â

Southwest Minnesota State University complies with the requirements of the Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act (EADA) by completing an annual report of participation rates, financial support and other information on its intercollegiate athletic programs. The EADA reports the institutions' commitment to providing equitable athletic opportunities for its men and women students.
