EVANSVILLE, IND.: Bellarmine University forced 17 Southwest Minnesota State turnovers which led to 21 points and went on to earn a 78-58 victory at the Southern Indiana Classic in Evansville, Ind.

SMSU drops to 2-2 overall while BU improves to 4-1.

SMSU, which trailed 33-25 at halftime, cut the Knights' lead 55-49 with 6:30 left in the game but Bellarmine answered with a 5-0 run to put the game away and never looked back.

SMSU shot just 35.4 percent in the game and was just 14 of 24 from the free throw line.  Matt Fletcher led the Mustangs with 20 points, seven rebounds and six assists.

The Mustangs will now begin Northern Sun Conference play next Friday, Nov. 30 when they face Bemidji State in Bemidji, Minn.
