SCSU Remains Undefeated After Defeating Mustangs

ST. CLOUD, MINN.: The Southwest Minnesota State tennis team lost 9-0 to St. Cloud State on Saturday afternoon in St. Cloud. The loss drops the Mustangs to 1-4, while the Huskies improve to 6-0 on the season.

SMSU had four very close matches. The first came at No. 3 doubles as Diana Naatz and Trisha Baldwin took SCSU's pair to a tiebreaker, losing the tiebreaker 8-6. Ananda Ferrari continued to battle as she has so far this spring, losing in three close sets, 7-6 (9-7), 2-6, 14-12 to Jacquelyn Doll at No. 1 singles. Freshmen Cailey Grupe and Trisha Baldwin also lost in three sets at No. 5 and No. 6 singles, respectively.

The Mustangs are back in action on Feb. 24 versus Hamline University.
