SMSU Falls to No. 11 Gustavus

ST. PETER, MINN.: The Southwest Minnesota State tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision to the 11th-ranked NCAA III team, Gustavus Adolphus on Saturday in St. Peter. The loss drops SMSU to 4-5 overall this spring, while GAC is now 9-2.

SMSU lost the top two doubles flights by scores of 8-5, while two of the singles matches went to three sets. Ananda Ferrari dropped No. 1 singles to Christine Reimer, 6-0, 5-7, 11-9. Diana Naatz lost at No. 4 singles to Alison Utke, 2-6, 6-4, 10-3.

The Mustangs will now head to Orlando, Fla., for their spring break trip. They will play Michigan Tech on Thursday, Mar. 13 at 9 a.m. Eastern.
