CHAMBERLAIN, S.D.:
Southwest Minnesota State's Aaron Johnson pitched a two hit shutout to lead the Mustangs to a 7-0 victory over Northern State in game one on Thursday afternoon in Chamberlain, S.D.  NSU bounced back with a 3-2 win in game two, snapping a 15-game losing streak for the Wolves.

Johnson improved to 2-1 on the mound as he finished game one allowing just two hits while striking out four batters.

Leading the Mustang offense was Scott Rambow and Josh Nolan.  Rambow was 2-for-3 with two RBI while Nolan was also 2-for-3, hitting a two run home run.

Lex Reinke and Derick Swenson each added two hits for the Mustangs.

In game two, SMSU struggled at the plate, hitting 15 fly outs in the seven inning game.  The Mustangs trailed 3-0 in the seventh inning, but Jake Munsch and Doug Stearns led off with singles.  After a wild pitch put the duo on scoring position, Rambow hit a sacrifice fly to bring home Munsch.  Stearns scored on a single by Derick Swenson.  However, Greg Laughlin flied out and Andrew Kinney struck out to end the rally.
