SMSU held scoreless against Winona State

WINONA, Minn.- The Southwest Minnesota State soccer team (1-10-2, 0-8-3 NSIC), fell to Winona State (11-3-1, 8-1-1 NSIC) today in a 1-0 decision.

The game's only goal came just before the end of the first half when Winona State's Anna Lundeen found the back of the net on an assist from Jena McDermott after 44 minutes.

The Mustangs attempted seven shots (four shots on-goal) on the day to the Warriors 18 (five shots on-goal).

Kendra Olechefske finished the game with four saves.

By defeating SMSU, Winona State extends its win-streak over the Mustangs to four-straight with an overall series record of 23-0-2.

SMSU will be in Fayette, Iowa tomorrow to take on Upper Iowa at 1 p.m.
