Setting the Scene: Southwest Minnesota State University (4-4, 3-4 NSIC) returns home to battle Winona State University (5-3, 4-3 NSIC) on Saturday, Oct. 30, in Marshall, Minn. Kickoff is slated for 4:30 p.m. at Mattke Field at the Regional Event Center. SMSU will be looking for its second straight victory, matching its longest winning streak of the season. A victory would also give the Mustangs a 5-4 record for the first time since the 2004 season. Winona State has dominated the series in the last 16 years winning 14 of the last 16 games since the 1994 season.
