WAYNE, Neb.- After two extra periods, the Southwest Minnesota State soccer team notched a 1-1 decision this afternoon against Wayne State.
SMSU moves to 1-6-2 (0-4-2 NSIC) on the season while Wayne charts a 4-3-4 (0-2-4 NSIC) record.

Kelly Fitzgerald found the back of the net seven minutes into the first half on an assist from
Maggy Rouse.
Wayne answered back in the second half, however, scoring off a corner kick after 57 minutes.
Fitzgerald recorded a team-high four shots, three of which were on goal. SMSU had 10 total shots on the night while Wayne finished with 32.
Kendra Olechefske recorded 10 saves for the Mustangs who will take on Augustand in Sioux Falls, Sunday at 1 p.m.
