MARSHALL, Minn. - The 2010 Mustang Booster Club Membership Drive is coming soon and will begin on Wednesday, April 28, at the Marshall Golf Club. 

Over the next month, Mustang Booster Club members will be reaching out to the community to recruit new members for the upcoming 2010-11 athletic season. 

The Mustang Booster Club is an organization dedicated to supporting, promoting and advancing SMSU athletics.  The Booster Club's goal is $150,000 in membership dues.  Proceeds go towards scholarships for SMSU student-athletes and various other projects for the athletics department.

“The Mustang Booster Club Membership Drive is vital to the success of SMSU Athletics,” said Tim Steinbach, SMSU's Athletic Development Director.  “We must continue to provide quality educational and athletic opportunities for our student-athletes.  I would like to encourage everyone to attend our Membership Drive Socials.  With everyone's assistance we can truly create great memories for our fans and student-athletes.”

Booster Club members will meet on the following dates at he Marshall Golf Club to update each other on their progress:

Wednesday, April 28th Membership drive kick off (Renewal process) at 7 p.m.
Wednesday, May 12 Reporting Session #2 at 7 p.m,
Wednesday, May 19 Reporting Session #3 at 7 p.m.
Wednesday, May 26 Reporting Session #4 at 7 p.m. p.m.
