GAME NOTES

Setting the Scene: Southwest Minnesota State University (2-0, 1-0 NSIC) will host Bemidji State University (1-1, 0-1 NSIC) in a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference game on Saturday, Sept. 18 at Mattke Field at the Regional Event Center in Marshall.  Kickoff is slated for 6 p.m.  The game will be the first between the two schools since Sept. 27, 2007.  In conjuction with the football game, the SMSU?athletics department will be hosting its fourth annual Smokefest.  The cooking competition is held on Friday and Saturday in the parking lot outside the Regional Event Center.
