MARSHALL, Minn. - The No. 4 Southwest Minnesota State volleyball team will take on St. Cloud State in a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference match on Tuesday, Sept. 21 at 7 p.m. at the PE Gym in Marshall.

Setting the scene: The Mustangs head into the NSIC tilt owners of a 9-1 record on the season. Southwest Minnesota State is off to its best start in school history. The Mustangs were 7-0 until they dropped the championship game of the Colorado Premier Challenge against Wayne State, who was also unbeaten. The last team to start a season undefeated was the 2004 team (6-0). Before them, the best start in school history belonged to the 1978 team who started 5-0.
