CROOKSTON, Minn. – Southwest Minnesota State goalkeeper Sonya Smith made 13 saves to help SMSU earn a 0-0 tie versus Minnesota, Crookston on Saturday in Crookston, Minn.

SMSU (5-6-1 overall, 4-3-1 NSIC) finished the game with nine shots, including four on goal.  The shutout for Smith is her fourth this season and is now one shy of tying the school single-season record.

Vanessa Corona, Autumn Hayes, Whitney Borstad and Amber Willamson all finished with two shots in the game for the Mustangs. 

UMC is now 3-9-1 overall, 2-5-1 NSIC.

SMSU will conclude the weekend on Sunday with a 1 p.m. match at MSU Moorhead.
