MOORHEAD, Minn. – Minnesota State Moorhead limited Southwest Minnesota State to just two shots and earned a 2-0 victory on Sunday in Moorhead, Minn.
SMSU drops to 5-7-1 overall, 4-4-1 NSIC.
The Dragons opened the scoring in the 31st minute to take a 1-0 halftime lead. MSUM then added to the lead with another goal in the 50th minute.
Sonya Smith made nine saves for SMSU.
Southwest Minnesota State returns home next weekend for its final two home games of the season. The Mustangs take on Upper Iowa University on Saturday, Oct. 22, beginning at 12 p.m.
