FIRST SERVE
No. 6 Southwest Minnesota State will put an end to its five-match road trip beginning with Augustana (10-5, 4-3 NSIC) on Friday, Oct. 7, beginning at 7 p.m. in the Elmen Center in Sioux Falls, S.D. The Mustangs will then travel to Wayne, Neb. to take on No. 12 Wayne State (11-5, 4-3 NSIC) at 4 p.m. on Saturday.

MUSTANGS IN NCAA STATISTICS
The fourth edition of national statistics was released by the NCAA on Tuesday, Oct. 4, Southwest Minnesota State leads the nation in kills (15.11 kills per set) and ranks second in the country in assists (14.04 assists per set). SMSU ranks 25th in the country averaging 17.51 digs per set. Junior setter Cara Carson ranks second in the nation averaging 12.27 assists per set. Brooke Burmeister ranks eighth in the nation averaging 4.49 kills per set and seventh in points per set with 5.03. Mary Groth ranks 11th in the nation with 4.42 kills per set and 10th with 4.93 points per set.
