MARSHALL, Minn. – St. Cloud State scored two second half goals to rally for a 2-1 non-conference victory over Southwest Minnesota State on Saturday in Marshall.
SCSU's Kara Espinosa snapped a 1-1 tie with a goal in the 88th minute to give the Huskies their first victory of the season. SCSU is now 1-2 overall, while SMSU drops to 1-2 on the season.

Whitney Borstad, but the lead was short-lived as SCSU answered with the tying goal by Mary Morhardt in the 64th minute.
SCSU finished the game with 23 shots, including 17 on goal. SMSU goalkeeper
Sonya Smith was outstanding in net making 15 saves.
SMSU will now begin Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play next Saturday, Sept. 17, facing St. Cloud State in St. Cloud.
