SETTING THE SCENE: Southwest Minnesota State University (1-2, 1-1 NSIC) returns to Marshall for its annual homecoming game to battle Augustana College (0-3, 0-2 NSIC) in a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference match-up on Saturday, Sept. 24, at Mattke Field at the Regional Event Center in Marshall. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.

Augustana, a 2010 NCAA playoff participant, has dominated the series versus SMSU?winning the past 13 games. SMSU's last victory came on Sept. 7, 1991, in Sioux Falls, S.D.

SMSU will be looking to rebound this weekend following last Saturday's 41-10 road loss to undefeated Bemidji State, while Augustana, which began the season ranked in the top 10 nationally, is in search for its first victory of the season. The Vikings are 0-3 for the first time since 1991, following last Saturday's 10-0 road loss to the University of Mary.
