SETTING THE SCENE: Southwest Minnesota State University (0-1, 0-0 NSIC) opens the 2011 home and Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference season on Saturday, Sept. 10, taking on the University of Mary (1-0, 0-0 NSIC).  Kickoff is set for 5 p.m. at Mattke Field at the Regional Event Center in Marshall.
    SMSU is looking to rebound following a 30-17 road loss to Northern State on Sept. 1, while UMary is coming off a thrilling 31-24 home victory over Chadron State (Neb.) on Sept. 1.
