ST. CLOUD, Minn. - Southwest Minnesota State defeated St. Cloud State 3-1 Monday afternoon in a non-conference match-up in St. Cloud. SMSU scored two goals in the first half and added a goal late in the second half. SMSU improved to 2-0 overall this year, it is the first time in history SMSU has opened a season 2-0. In the 2nd half, St. Cloud State trimmed the SMSU lead with a Bailly Grayton goal in the 65th minute. The shot was nicely placed just out of reach of the diving Sonya Smith.
