ROLLA, Mo. - No. 3 Southwest Minnesota State volleyball swept Northwest Missouri state 3-0 (25-17, 25-19, 25-9) to complete a perfect weekend at the Missouri S&T tournament. The Mustangs didn't drop a set all weekend as they won all 12 sets to complete sweeps over Southern Indiana, Western Missouri State, Emporia State and Northwest Missouri State.

The Mustangs dominated the Bearcats in the three sets as they forced 26  NWMS errors and a -.040 hitting percentage. Abbey Thissen led the Mustang offense with 12 kills on 17 attempts (.706 hitting percentage), while Mary Groth added eight kills of her own. Devin Diedrich collected six kills and seven blocks in the match while Emilee Gutzmer compiled 32 assists and six digs. Rachel Westby led the Mustang defense with 14 digs.

No. 3 Southwest Minnesota State (7-0) will open Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play on Friday, September 14, as they travel to St. Paul, Minn. to battle No. 1 Concordia-St. Paul.
