MARSHALL, Minn. - The No. 19 ranked Southwest Minnesota State soccer team closed the 2013 regular season home schedule with a 0-0 2OT tie with Wayne State on Thursday in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference action. It is the second straight 0-0 2OT tie for the Mustangs.
SMSU moves to 14-1-2 overall, 11-1-2 in the NSIC.
SMSU out shot WSC 20-4 in the game, including 8-3 on goal. WSC's Kylie Comba made seven saves, while SMSU's
Brienna Dehkes stopped all three Wildcat shots.
Justine Hauck led SMSU with four shots, while four other Mustangs record three shots.
It is the second consecutive time the SMSU offense has been shutout and only the third time all season.
SMSU will look to get the offense going on Sunday when the Mustangs conclude the 2013 regular season on the road versus Augustana.
