Late Viking goal gives Augustana a 1-0 win over SMSU

Payton Pry scored in the 83rd minute to break a 0-0 scoreless tie to lift Augustana to a 1-0 victory over No. 19 Southwest Minnesota State on a windy Sunday afternoon in Sioux Falls.

SMSU was limited to just eight shots and two corner kicks.

Brienna Dehkes made four saves but was unable to record her fourth straight shutout.

SMSU finishes the season 14-2-2 overall, 11-2-2 in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference -- both setting new SMSU single season for wins. SMSU qualifies for the 2013 NSIC / US Bank Tournament for the first time since 2007.

Miranda Cadena finishes the season with six game-winning goals which ranks her first all-time in SMSU single season history. Cadena's season also ranks her second in shot per game average (3.88), third in shots attempted (66), fourth in points per game (1.65), fourth in shot on goal average (2.24), fifth in shots on goal (38), tied for fifth in points (28-11g, 6a), sixth in goals per game (0.65), seventh in assists per game (0.35) and tied for eight in assists (6).

Kendahl Fisher set the new SMSU single-season record for assists (11) and assists per game average (0.65).

Goalkeeper Brienna Dehkes set new SMSU single-season records in save percentage (.892), goals against average (0.54), wins (13), and shutouts (9).

Danica Requejo played every single minute of SMSU's 18 games this season and finishes with 1,590 minutes played, ranking her sixth all-time.
