Instead the Mustangs will be the fifth seed and will travel to take on fourth seeded Upper Iowa on Wednesday.
SMSU couldn't score against Wayne State on Thursday at home--only the third time all season that the Mustangs haven't scored. SMSU continued its offensive woes against Augustana on Sunday when the Mustangs were blanked for the third consecutive game. Augustana scored in the 83rd minute to take the game 1-0.
