Mustangs conclude regular season at home this weekend

Southwest Minnesota State (12-6, 2-5 NSIC) will conclude the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference schedule this Saturday verus MSU Moorhead (8-6, 3-3 NSIC) at 7 p.m. at the PE Gym.

OPPONENT AT A GLANCE - MSU MOORHEAD
The Dragons are 8-6 overall, 3-3 in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. MSUM has NSIC wins over Northern State (30-16), U-Mary (23-13) and Minot State (41-6). The Dragons are 2-2 on the road in NSIC matches this season. The Dragons are led by Phillipe Walker (17-9) at 133 pounds, Angel Vega (22-9) at 141 pounds, and Jacob Bennett (9-8) at 157 pounds.

SERIES HISTORY - MSU MOORHEAD
Southwest Minnesota State and the University of Mary will meet for 43rd time in a series that SMSU trails 17-24-1. SMSU took the first 10 matches before falling for the first time to the Dragons, 23-20 in the 1990-91 season. MSUM has taken 23 of the last 26 matches, but SMSU is on a two-match winning streak having won the 2010-11 season meeting (18-16) and the 2011-12 season meeting (21-15). SMSU is 7-6 at home all-time versus MSU Moorhead, 2-3 under head coach Jesse Nelson.

SENIOR MUSTANGS
Three Mustangs will conclude their senior seasons this weekend when Southwest Minnesota State battles MSU Moorhead on Saturday.

Chris Hale: A member of the SMSU wrestling team since the 2008-09 season, and recorded a 1-12 career record at 157 and 165 pounds.

Ed Reno: A member of the SMSU wrestling team since the 2007-08 season, recording 10 career wins at 125, 133 and 141 pounds.

Devin Terry: A member of the SMSU wrestling team since the 2010-11 season. Terry recorded a 5-9 record at 141 pounds and 3-2 at 149 pounds, including four wins by fall in his first season as a Mustang during the 2010-11 season. In his senior season, Terry has racked up a 9-6 record at 141 pounds, including four wins by fall.
