   THIS WEEK:
Southwest Minnesota State University (1-4 NSIC, 0-1 NSIC South) returns to Marshall on Saturday, Oct. 11 to face Upper Iowa University (5-0 NSIC, 1-0 NSIC South) for the annual Homecoming game.  Kickoff is slated for 6 p.m. at Mattke Field at the Schwan Regional Event Center. UIU is receiving votes in this week's AFCA Top 25 poll.

A VICTORY FOR SMSU ON SATURDAY WOULD...:

    •Snap a three-game losing streak.
•Be just its third Homecoming victory since 2001.
    •Lift SMSU's all-time record to 178-296-5, including 116-202-5 in conference play.

ANOTHER CLOSE ONE ON SATURDAY?: If history is any indication, Saturday's game will be another thriller between SMSU and UIU.
