The Southwest Minnesota State University volleyball team will open the 2014 season this weekend with four matches at the Concordia-St. Paul tournament in the St. Paul. SMSU, which is ranked No. 7 in the 2014 AVCA Preseason Coaches' Poll, will square-off against Wheeling Jesuit (W.Va.) out of the Mountain East Conference. SMSU will then take on NSIC foe and No. 1 in the AVCA Division II Coaches Top 25 Preseason Poll, Concordia-St. Paul later in the day at 7:30 p.m. The Mustangs will conclude the two-day tournament with matches against Ashland (Ohio) and Missouri S&T on Satur- day who are from the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) and the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC), respectively.
