PIERZ, Minn. - No. 2 St. Cloud State was too much for Southwest Minnesota State, as it recorded four pins to hand the Mustangs a 41-3 loss in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference wrestling Thursday night.

SCSU started the match with full control as it took the 125 pound bout with a 11-4 decision, before recording pins at 133 pounds and 141 pounds to lead 15-0.

The Huskies continued to roll, as they scored a major decision at 149 pounds and followed it with a 6-4 decision at 157 to push their lead to 22-0 at the half way mark.

SCSU picked up more points at 165 pounds after a fall to secure the victory and again at 174 with a close 4-2 decision. SCSU finished its scoring with a major decision at 184 pounds, before recording its fourth pin of the night at 197 to lead 41-0 leading into the final match.

No. 8 Cole Wilson faced off with No. 1 and undefeated Austin Goergen and battled to a 4-2 sudden overtime victory. The win was Wilson's 11th straight and first over Goergen.

Southwest Minnesota State will host Minot State on Saturday in the PE Gym starting at 4 p.m.
