SMSU falls to UMary on Friday night

MARSHALL, Minn. – The Southwest Minnesota State women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 match against UMary this afternoon at the Schwan Regional Event Center.
 
SMSU (3-9, 3-7 NSIC) were unable to respond after UMary (3-6-2, 4-6-2 NSIC) scored in the 23rd minute. 
 
Malia Brudvik scored in the 23rd minute for the Marauders, unassisted and her first of the season after the officials call was overturned to confirm. 
 
UMary outshot SMSU 8-1 with shots on goal.

Mustang goalkeeper Jessica Craigmile record seven saves. 
 
The Mustangs host Minot State on Sunday at 12 p.m. for senior day at the Schwan Regional Event Center.
