MARSHALL, Minn. – The No. 16 Southwest Minnesota State women's volleyball team swept MSU Moorhead (25-19, 25-11, 25-17) for its third consecutive sweep on Friday night in its annual "Red Out" match.

SMSU (16-7, 11-4 NSIC) recorded a team .366 hitting percentage over MSUM (9-13, 5-10 NSIC).

Taylor Reiss led the Mustang offense with 20 kills, no errors and a .513 hitting percentage. Reiss also recorded her 17
th double-double in the season with 11 digs. Reiss earned seven service aces, the first time since Mustang volleyball player, Jenna Otto, against Northern State on Sept. 18, 2004.

Reiss has a career 1,962 career points entering the remaining weeks of the regular season.
Sarina Smith added nine kills with a .444 hitting percentage.
Emma Thomssen recorded 42 assists while
Kaylee Burmeister paced the Mustangs with 13 digs.

The Mustangs held on to an a ten-point lead in set one to make the score 23-13. The Dragons aimed to close in on the Mustangs with a late 6-0 run to close in at 24-19, although the Mustangs were able to ward off the Dragons with a from Smith to end set one, 25-19.

The Mustangs led for most set two, aided by a 5-0 run with
Erin Corrigan at the line. With a 19-10 lead, Reiss went to the line to go for a 6-0 to put the Mustangs up 24-10. At set point,
Meg Schmidt delivered a kill to end set two, 25-11.

With only one lead change in set three, the Mustangs held the lead as Reiss delivered nine of her 20 kills in set three. The Mustangs' largest lead occurred with a 22-11 advantage. The Dragons attempt to chase the Mustangs before
Angela Young ended the match with a kill from Corrigan.
